Quinoa Pilaf

This is my new favorite way to prepare quinoa. I’ll create a more “official” recipe for my cookbook (with a more professional photo). But for now, I’m sharing this recipe without specific measurements.

  • cooked quinoa
  • 1 teaspoon refined coconut oil
  • diced onions
  • minced garlic
  • diced carrots
  • diced zucchini
  • sea salt
  • sage & rosemary powder (or whatever herbs you prefer)
  • olive oil


  1. Cook quinoa according to package instructions
  2. Heat up coconut oil in a skillet over medium/high heat (do not smoke oil), then sauté vegetables for about 5 minutes
  3. Sprinkle veggies with sea salt and a bit of powdered sage & rosemary blend
  4. Once everything is cooked, add quinoa to skillet
  5. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil and gently mix everything together


Sage and rosemary powder is easy to make. Simply place 1/3 part dried sage and 2/3 part dried rosemary in bullet blender with milling blade then process into powder.
