The patch of nettles growing wild in our yard came back strong this spring after weeks of rain! I harvested them recently and expect to get at least two more harvests.
I have a removable line hung in our spare bedroom for the purpose of drying herbs. The nettles were easy to hang on the line from the crooks in their branches. It’s best to dry herbs in a cool, dry space – so I kept the shades drawn. Once dried, I detached one end of the line and slid the dried nettle off and into paper bags. Next I’ll remove the leaves from the branches and store in tightly capped canning jars.
Comment below and let me know if you also harvest wild nettles!
